Control Panel adaptive layout
 

We are constantly working on updates and improvements to make Deskun easier and more comfortable to use.

Today we have launched an adaptive layout for Control Panel. You can create projects and queues, add agents, edit filters and other settings using your mobile devices.

Current Deskun update (1.0.2.8) includes the following changes:

  • Send delay time is again correctly displayed on the drafts page.
  • Google Translate bar no longer overlaps with message numbers of an open ticket.
  • Message compose form is now a little wider to prevent a scrollbar if the message is scheduled for later.
  • Send delay reset no longer causes extra popup messages after closing the compose form.

Current Deskun update (1.0.2.7) includes the following changes:

  • Improved performance, optimised background processing.
  • Ticket creation query is put in a queue if the server is momentarily unavailable. The query will be processed automatically once the server is up again.
  • Fixed the rare bug whereby drafts were not deleted after the message has been sent.
  • We reverted a previous change: tickets are viewed on a full page in "preview pane" mode again.
  • Changing ticket status to "Pending review" does not result in a return to query from the ticket view page.
  • Resolved the rare issue with changing a ticket's queue not being correctly displayed in the ticket's page.
  • The popup informing of a ticket properties alteration now shows specifically the altered property.
  • Improved UI for Apple Retina devices: the email field stays in the top first line in the new ticket creation form.

  • Threads are now being updated more reliably after receiving new replies 
  • Pop-up messages shouldn't contain so much empty space after the text itself
  • Fixed the bug whereby threads would stop snoozing when one accesses "Deskun: Snooze" folder in preview pane mode
  • While creating a ticket, changing selected queue now correctly sets the default queue assignee

New Deskun user tutorial
 

Our team daily treads the path of further improving Deskun user experience. We have recently implemented a new user introduction that helps make your first steps with Deskun as smooth as possible.

You may enable the "Show tour after load" option in the Settings section of your account. That's it. Next time you access your Gmail account, you will see a tutorial on using the various features of Deskun. New users will have this option switched on by default.

  • Ticket status update notifications are more detailed.
  • Recent ticket counter for a project now correctly updates when a project itself is minimized.
  • Going back to previous page functions correctly while viewing a ticket.
  • The queue hyperlink within ticket breadcrumbs now correctly leads to the queue.
  • Longer status names are now correctly displayed while a specific ticket page is open.
  • Got rid of repeating ticket title while using the preview pane.
  • Only "by default" and "by assignee" sorting methods cause the assignee's own tickets to be grouped apart from all other tickets.
  • Our blog has undergone some improvements that should be noticeable to mobile users.
  • Feedback and Support webpages now also feature Skype and Telegram contact details.

  • New filters: "Only new" tickets.
  • New option to unsubscribe from Deskun newsletter.
  • Fixed an issue with messaging history sometimes being incorrectly attached when responding from the queue mailbox.
  • The "Enter" key now confirms and sends Deskun forms.
  • Status update marks the ticket as altered.
  • Ticket status, priority or deadline updates also affect the "last edited" field.
  • Messages from Deskun are now correctly marked as encrypted.
  • When answering from a dedicated queue mailbox, HTML message original signature is now more accurately replaced by a queue signature.
  • The messages sent directly from the queue will no longer show up twice for a few seconds after the message has been sent.

Server update:

  • Time to load tickets needed for new agents being freshly assigned with the system was significantly reduced. Now open tickets are uploaded first, while transferring closed ones at first request.
  • Rare issue of "hanging at initialization" tickets was resolved. It might happen if due to connection failure or another Gmail API problem labels were not set correctly from the very beginning.
  • Non-processed response issue within tickets appearing due to different amount of messages within one and the same thread in those assigned to that ticket when it was created was resolved.

Client update:

  • We are working on adjusting interface elements to conventional Gmail styles.
