Current Deskun update (1.1.0.0) includes the following changes:

  • Gmail interaction is now implemented using Gmail.js instead of InboxSDK. The inability to access InboxSDK will no longer prevent you from using Deskun and the plugin itself loads much faster now.
  • Added a filter by the current ticket assignee.
  • Information about those who has read a tracked message is now displayed more concisely.
  • Added the ability to track the reading of messages in some email clients where it wasn't possible before.
  • Translated the plugin into Dutch (thanks to Rene Kroon).
  • Fixed several minor bugs and improved overall system stability.

  • A distinct info panel now warns about Deskun working in restricted mode.

Current Deskun update (1.0.4.0) includes the following changes:

  • Recipient lists for tickets reworked. Now there's a consistent list for every ticket which you can alter at any time. "To:" field presentation is more helpful now.
  • Application icon added in the upper right corner of the browser window. The icon displays unread ticket changes counter if at least one Gmail tab is open.
  • Hotkey support added. You can assign hotkeys using the application icon mentioned above.
  • When resizing the window, ticket list is automatically altered to more compact or more detailed form.
  • In preview pane mode tracking icons and snooze/later labels no longer flicker while browsing threads.
  • Search has been separated from filters in ticket list.
  • You can now select multiple tickets in ticket list with a SHIFT button.
  • Some minor interface bugfixes and QoL changes.
  • Sending messages from external mailboxes is more intutive now. Current thread is being automatically refreshed after sending so you can see the sent message without delay.

Setup assistant in Control Panel
 

To make Deskun use simpler for new users, we have added a setup assistant (wizard) into our "Control Panel".

With the use of the wizard creating new projects, setting up queues, making auto replies and filters has become significantly easier. By following the wizard hints you can optimize Deskun for customer support or task management.

As an example, when creating a new project our wizard prompts you to select either "Customer Support" or "Task management" option.

You will be able to set up any Deskun project step by step and work with clients’ requests or manage tasks.

To use assistant tips, go to Deskun "Control Panel" and create a new project, following the instructions.
